FINALLY, I’ve found Okocat. The clumping is fantastic and it has controlled the odour wonderfully. Arvee has a thyroid problem and as a result drinks a lot of water resulting in a tremendous amount of urine. We have tried every litter on the market with the same terrible results. The pee soaked litter turned almost to concrete. We were struggling to get the huge hunks of urine soaked litter out of the box, actually breaking one of the lifters because of the concrete-like soaked litter. A neighbor told us about World’s Best litter, we bought a bag that day and are so very pleased that we will never use the other stuff again. Wish we had this tip a couple years ago!!—Arvee from chewy.com
I just discovered this litter, as it was recommended for my automatic Litter Robot. I LOVE this litter (can’t believe I’m even saying that, lol) – but I love that it’s natural, clumps REALLY well, and doesn’t get nearly as gluey as the clay litters I have used in the past. I also feel like it will decompose much more quickly and ultimately be better for the environment. It masks smells very well, and my kitten took to it immediately.—BKMCO from chewy.com
3. Sustainably Yours
First Impressions: Cat Daddy Jackson Galaxy approved! This bright white litter makes monitoring your cat’s urine-changes easy. It’s odour-absorbing without the use of chemicals or fragrances. Made of corn and cassava, it’s soft on paws and flushable.
I’ve been trying to move away from clay for years now but could never find a litter that worked better. Really happy I was suggested to try this corn litter. It clumps better and so far the smell works better than clay. It does track a bit more than clay but not by much so I think the tradeoff is well worth it. I also love how there’s no dust.—Jenny on Amazon.com
I’m never going back to clay or crystal. This cat litter is the best I’ve ever used. It clumps PERFECTLY and lasts for a long time. I have 1 16lb cat. He usually fills up the litter box daily and I clean it at night. The litter lasts him a month with me switching it out for fresh at the end of the month and adding some as a refresher halfway through the month.—Lindsay on Amazon.com
4. NextGen Pet
- All natural
First Impressions: Next Gen cat litter is made from wood and green tea powder to ensure an odourless experience without the use of chemicals or fragrances. It clumps without using clay or bentonite as an ingredient. This litter is flushable and earth-friendly.
This is great litter! The smell is very light and also completely masking. I have the litter boxes in my office and can’t stand litter box smells and I have no problems working in my office all day. The pellets do break down a bit after a couple days, but not nearly as bad as other natural litters and it doesn’t track. The pellets sometimes go flying but that’s 1000x better than dust/tracking in my opinion and most lost pellets stay on the litter mat and I can just put them back in the litter boxes when I clean them. Every natural litter claims to be the best at no smells and no dust and I’ve tried a lot of them with no success but this one finally worked for me!—Melissa on Chewy.com
Honestly I’ve gone thru a lot of different litter brands since bringing Purrcius into my home and this one is my favorite. The pellets clump nicely, the pellets are big enough that my big boy doesn’t drag them everywhere around the house like with granule litter, and the green tea scent covers the smell of urine very nicely. It’s literally the best! Especially if you have a big cat!—Catmom on Chewy.com
5. Boxie Cat

I love this cat litter! It is dust free. I know a lot of litters say that but this one really is! I buy unscented and it truly hides the smells. I have 7 litter boxes and 6 cats and no one visiting my home can believe I have that many litter boxes that aren’t stinky (I do scoop every day). It truly clumps and very easy to scoop. It is similar to sand.—TamaraL on chewy.com
This litter has little, if any dust. The cats track the same amount of litter particles outside the box but because the litter consists of very small particles, it falls from their paws quickly and does not track as far as larger particles. Smaller particles also mean less to clean up.. Seems to clump as advertised provided you replenish the box regularly as instructed to maintain the 3 inch depth. Appears to be an excellent product – you get what you pay for – as usual. I will purchase again.—Catagan on chewy.com

This stuff is great! Second time cleaning his litter and it’s so easy to clean, I don’t dread cleaning it and since it’s so easy I clean it twice a day if I can now! The litter box is so light. The litter scoop is still brand new looking. The pee clumps and absorbs , no little pieces left behind or sticking to the scoop. The smell is pleasant. No more stinky pee clay litter smell or dust. Omg! The dust levels are 0. I love this stuff and the fact that it’s eco friendlier makes it that much better! My cat appears not to have a problem with it either. It’s much softer on his paws I imagine too.—Sariee on chewy.com
I love this product and I highly recommend it to everyone. We have 5 cats and 5 boxes. For years, we bought the most expensive litters which said 99.9% dust free, and they were insanely dust filled. No idea how others can call themselves dust free. This litter is light, totally controls the smell, and is TRULY dust free. It was a life saver for us, as it completely solved our problem. Worth every penny.—Shari on chewy.com

Helpful Reviews: I’ve tried a lot of different “natural” litters trying to find a better option for the environment that actually works. This is the first one I’ve tried that works better than all the clay litter’s I’ve used. The odour control is so good I’ve actually found myself forgetting to scoop the box. Great clumping too. I am a new customer for life!—catmom on chewy.com
Switched to Catalyst, far less dusty than even ” dust free” clumping litters, took a while to transition but well worth it.—Hanter on Chewy.com
First Impressions: Petkit tofu litter with active charcoal is a natural, odor-eliminating alternative to heavy clay. Food-grade soy pulp is safe for you and your cat and its 2x more absorbent than regular litter. This litter can be used in their Pura Box automatic smart litter system as an added bonus.
I switched to this litter because I noticed when using clay litter, my cat sneezed all the time! The clay said 99.9% dust free. But once I switched, she isn’t sneezing anymore and her eyes aren’t watery, this absorbs smells great! It also has a sort of sweet scent to it. I’m really loving this litter. But yes, it still tracks.—CareE on Amazon.com
Best litter I have tried yet! Very absorbent without it sticking to the bottom. My cat smells like a pastry now. Lol.—Hannah G-S on Amazon.com
- Odour controlling
First Impressions: Skoon is a non-clumping, all-natural litter that takes a weight off. [cw: not sure what Becky meant by “takes a weight off”] It is made from highly absorbent diatom pebbles that lock odor in and keep it out of your home. They offer a disposable kitty litter box as well as bags of litter. This litter is completely safe even if ingested, and also boasts low tracking.
These pebbles are the best. I haven’t noticed a smell from the litter at all. The poop also clumps up nicely and it’s so easy to scoop out. It’s almost like sifting through tiny pebbles and it’s actually satisfying having no clumps that stick and smell. I almost keep waiting for the gross wet clumps to resist when scooping but it’s just a clean sift every time.—TayOhh on Chewy.com
I’m pleasantly surprised that this has lived up to the hype! I couldn’t wait to try it so I put it in one of our boxes (we have 3) and have been taking note of how it does tracking wise, smell concealing etc. so far, quite good! A few pebbles have gotten out of the box but the pee has been completely masked and the cats are taking to it. It takes half the time or less than regular litter to clean and is so much lighter.—Coco on Chewy.com

First Impressions: Neon Litter makes the litterbox chore a little more fun with its bright, eye-catching colours. Made of silica gel, it’s soft on paws and controls odours. It comes in 5 fun colours and offers a lightweight, dust-free alternative to clay.
Having 2 cats has been a joy. Except for someone with asthma. Cleaning out the clay litter always required a mask along with holding my breath. This is the ABSOLUTE best liter!!! No clay cloud, No odor and it clumps way better than the clay. The different color options are fun too. It’s nice not to have litter trails from the box too.—Cat2stars on chewy.com
We have 4 cats and multiple litter boxes and needed a better litter than what we were using, so we bought Neon litter for just one of the boxes to see how it would do. It clumps well, almost no odor, no large plumes of dust when we scoop, and now all of the cats refuse to use the other litter boxes- just the one with the Neon litter in it. Needless to say we are switching them all over, because the cats have spoken!—Skfitz on chewy.com
